Junior Cricket

Not only is it important to play cricket, it is essential to have the tools to allow development of cricket to be made “in-house”.

Attock Cricket Club prides itself on its junior cricket section. One of our key philosophies at Attock CC is that the future of our club relies entirely on having a successful junior membership. Our juniors are the future of our great club and we know that without them there will be no Attock Cricket Club in the coming years. We've therefore invested heavily in recent seasons to ensure our juniors have the some of the best facilities and coaching in the county.

We are proud that we have a dynamic youth section and we can provide a comprehensive programme of cricket coaching and matches for our youth members. Cricket is an ever growing sport, a wonderful team game, with unique social interaction that the children experience in a club environment with their peers.

Girls and boys from ages 9 through to 16 are welcome to join our coaching sessions. These are held at the club, with squad sessions being held on a Friday evening (for the more experienced cricketer).  All our sessions are managed and run by our team of ECB registered and qualified coaches. As part of our clubmark accreditation all coaches have attended child protection courses, first aid courses and are fully qualified ECB cricket coaches ensuring the sport can be coached in the safest atmosphere and at the highest level.

We enter the youth competitions run by the Warwickshire Cricket Board at various age levels. Through links with the Warwickshire Cricket Board, many children within our youth section have been successfully nominated and are now taking part in the district and county programmes with a view to representing Warwickshire at various age groups.

Our main aim is to ensure that cricket is fun and rewarding and each child is encouraged to develop their skills at their own pace. We aim to provide a platform for talent to excel and reach the highest levels, whilst also encouraging a life-long love of the game.

Aside from the coaches, all the managers and administration of the Youth Section are volunteers. As such we respectfully request that they are treated in the 'spirit of cricket'.

This year the club will be running 5 youth sides; U11s, U14s, U15s, U17s and U19s.
